How to set resting HR on Connect?

I use a Fenix 3 with all heart rate zone parameters set on the Fenix 3 itself. Works fine, except that GCM removes the RHR every time it syncs. Stats like TE, calories and recovery HR are quite off if the RHR value is incorrect.

GCM (V3.3.2 on Android) on my phone is used for notifications only, and thus set to not auto-upload activity data, but still every time I open GCM it does a quick sync, which removes the RHR setting. Everything else is left alone.

Is there a way to manually get the resting HR in Connect, such that I don't have to re-enter this value before every activity?

Have you tried setting your heart rate zones directly in Garmin Connect? If not, try this:
Go to Device settings/User settings/ where you can set HR zones.
Click on the pencil icon to choose whether your zones are set based on Max HR or Heart Rate Reserve (uses resting HR and max HR) or Lactate Threshold for a particular activity. Enter the appropriate data including the max % for each zone.
After saving any changes, you can sync your zones with your device.

Thanks for your answer, but even through the zones are OK, the Resting HR is still erased after sync.
I suspect that the resting HR in Connect is taken from an uploaded activity or monitor file, and I never sync those.
Now that I know this I just try not to forget to set it again every time before an activity.

Does resting heart rate get deleted if you are using % of "Heart Rate Reserve" to set your zones? Have you sent the data from GC to your device or only tried setting it directly on the device?

I did some more experimenting with changing zones and parameters in GC, that all works perfectly fine, the issue is not with Connect. Thanks for the help!

My expectation was that syncing the F3 via GCM with Auto-Upload set to OFF, would not modify anything on the F3 (except that it updates EPO.BIN), but apparently that is not true for RHR. It's minor, and I can certainly live with it. :-)
