Manual Activity - Former Fitbit user new to Garmin

As the title says, I'm new to the Garmin world and very excited about my Forerunner 235! In my past with my Fitbit Charge HR, there were various times when I would forget to start my activity at the beginning of a CrossFit class for example. It was pretty simple to go into the app or online after the fact and add the activity by selecting a start and end time. After it synced, it would update with calories burned, steps, and heart rate information. Is there a similar ability with Garmin Connect? I see the Manual Activity, but it appears that it assumes I wasn't wearing my Forerunner at the time so it wouldn't use the heart rate information. Thanks in advance for the help!
