Garmin Connect and MapMyWalk

I've seen a few threads along this line but can't seem to find an answer. I have a Vivofit 2, just a couple of days old.

Previously I had a FitBit and it was connected with MapMyWalk and MFP. Any activities recorded in MMW would show up in the FitBit app as activities - does this not happen with Garmin Connect? I have connected Garmin Connect & MMW but there seems to be no talking between them. Both GC and MMW are talking to MFP though?

Will I see MMW activities on GC or is it only GC to MMW?

It seems to only go 1 way. It goes from Garmin Connect to MapMyWalk but no the other way. I use the old Garmin Fit APP which is no longer available to write my mapped walks to Connect.
