Garmin Fenix 3 HR - Sudden change in resting calories

Hi, does anyone know why my Fenix 3 HR might suddenly be recording a significant drop or change in resting calories. For months my resting calories have been 1,963 or thereabouts yet from May 5 they have dropped to 1,636. I could understand if it was up or down by a few when I update changes in my weight but a drop of over 300 doesn't seem right to me. Has anyone else experienced a sudden change?

See here. Sw update did it. Happened on my non hr Fenix3 too. Email support and ask for them to change it back https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?349724-Sudden-decrease-in-quot-resting-calories-quot

Garmin please change this back or even better give us the option to configure ourselves to something like

    1. Mifflin-St Jeor BMR x 1.2 (typical)
    2. Mifflin-St Jeor BMR x 1.25 (what myfitnesspal uses)
    3. Custom BMR and multiplier off the Katch-McArdle formula if you know your bf%

Thank you. I will contact the helpline and see what they can do. I don't find them very knowledgable though as Ive had other problems with the F3HR and beyond suggesting a watch reset (which hasn't cured any of the previous issues I've had) they don't give the impression of really understanding how the watch works
