Garmin Fenix 3 HR has stopped displaying and recording HR in Bike app

Since the last software update, my Garmin 3 HR has stopped recording the heart rate on the Bike app. It is reading and recording the HR generally, but this does not display on the bike app screens and does not record in the files/Strava transfer. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
