Garmin Connect STEPS report not showing yesterdays step details

I synced my Forerunner today, and while it is showing that I completed 8631 steps, its not showing in the report, or in the daily summary, the data is missing. I have done a sync a number of times how and other activities (such as a run today) has come in with no problems, yesterdays data is just not showing. Is there an issue with the SYNC data today?

I have tried to upload an image, but its not allowing me to insert the image into this page.
  • Same issue for me as well.. No timeline, sleep, or step data showing in the Daily Summary. But the data is there as it does show up on the dashboard. Hopefully Garmin is just working on updating the Daily Summary screen.

  • There's a large thread about this issue already. Garmin appear to be asking people to report it to support via Twitter and don't know anything about it, yet someone else is reporting the support staff know about the issue already and are trying to fix it.
  • It's still an issue in 2019 with my Epix.  Sometimes the watch freezes and on reboot all activity is lost.  Today the steps from yesterday just failed to sync over - I have no idea how anyone makes the 60 step challenge.  My Epix won't record my step count successfully 30 days in a row. When I do an extreme activity longer than 12 hours where I have to connect a charger, I am continually worried about losing the entire recording.  Technology shouldn't be this flakey.

  • Wow, really that is sad since I freaking paid 200+ bucks for my Venu and it has no history data at all. How long have they been working on this problem?

  • It's very common to have more than 1 account. If you show no history at all, check that your watch and Connect are logged into the same account.

I am having this problem now in April of 2020. It counts my steps just fine but if I try looking at the step detail, nothing is there for the last few weeks. I also noticed about 3 weeks ago that step count now resets around 9-10 am every day, not at midnight like it used to. I've tried to reset the time zone on the phone from another post. I also only have one Garmin so I know that is not the problem.

  • You need to set the timezone in web connect as it will override what is in Mobile Connect.

    The flow is:

    Web Connect

    Mobile Connect

    Device

Are other detailes (like the activities, heart rate, Calories,...) logged in your GC account, or is everything missing since that day? If everything (or almost) is missing, then the most likely reason is that you have the device mistakeny associated with two accounts. That happens frequently to people for example when they reinstall the phone app.

Find a solution for such case in the following document:

Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing

The time zone is correct in Web Connect when I checked it.

  • I am having this same problem - for more than two weeks there has been daily counts but no details data.( not just steps but for calories, heart rate ect as well) has a solution been found?
