What gets posted to MyFitnessPal?

Hi,

Why is the data representation of activities recorded by Garmin get modified so much by the time they make it to MyFitnessPal?

When I used Endomondo Pro (before I had the Garmin) the readings were so easy to understand and made sence to me.

Thanks and Regards,
Alan
  • Prolly the poor quality adobe connect api combined with the thin internet pipes used to pour the data, it tends to leak out a bit

I tend to agree. With Endomondo I always had a consistency I seem unable to achieve with garmin connect. I walk 24 km and m told I burned less calories than when I walked 15km.

    It is a real pity
  • If only they'd build their internet pipes with regulation thickness pipes we wouldn't be in this situation... frugal so-and-sos!

I always thought that the exchange was simple and straightforward with technologies such as XML, SOAP etc.
  • In my experience cheap pipes might hold small things, or regular sized things for a short amount of time but they tend to corrode or crack pretty fast.

Ever put something in one end of a pipe and not all of it came out the other end? Cheap pipes.
