Pace and Pace "while moving" ?

Morning,

On GC, there is something I don't quite get about "Pace" and Pace While Moving". When I do interval training I am ALWAYS moving, so I really don't understand how GC can tell me my pace while moving is different from my pace. Really don't understand that.

Same with the time data. I do, say, 10 times 1 minute speed + 1 minute slow. How come the moving time is sometimes 7 seconds shorter than the "normal" time. I did not stop running at all, so the distances should be the same, right ?

The watch is set for "auto stop if stopped", so, as long as I am moving just a bit, the timer should not stop, should it ?

In the end, the qestion is, which average pace/speed should I take into account when having a look at the session ? "Simple" average pace/speed, or "Moving" average pace/speed ?

This parameter is really not easy to understand. I mean, even when running for 2 hours and manually marking laps, the distances are not the same, as if I had stopped running each time before pressing lap button

If any expert can explain this fully, I'd be grateful, because the documentations supplied by Garmin are really bad (just really superficial and lots of features are not explained).

Thanks
Jay

It's a bug. We've been complaining about it for months and no fix appears to be forthcoming. I don't think a post in the FAQ thread is going to even be seen - I just came over to post yet again in the main GC subforum.
