VivoSmart will not sync with Garmin Connect on iPad or iPhone

Yesterday Garmin Connnect stopped syncing with VivoSmart. Connnect says no device connected but in the iPad settings it says it's connected. Tried repairing, deleted Garmin Connnect and downloaded a new one from the App Store, tried rebooting everything.... It still will not sync to both my iPad and iPhone. I think that it's a Garmin Connect software issue because Bluetooth is connected to my iPad. Anyone else having problems that started 4/16/16?
  • That can happen due to interference if both the iPhone and the iPad have bluetooth turned on and you're paired to both. Try turning off bluetooth on one of them. It should connect after that to the other.

    at first, that didn't fix it. Turned off Bluetooth and turned it back on and The iPad says it's connected to VivoSmart but Garmin Connect can't find it. Then a light bulb went off in my slow brain! I turned off Bluetooth on the VivoSmart and restarted... Walla! It finally found it and connected!
