Garmin Connect segments not showing

Hi all,

having spent a while unsuccessfully searching for the answer, can anyone help me with why segments have stopped showing in Garmin Connect.
I am doing the same routes across the same segments, but I always get 'no segments crossed'

I do link my Garmin account to Strava, but I do not use Strava Live Segments.
I have checked the Garmin help, and their reasons for why segments would not be identified do not explain it as all conditions are met.

Hopefully this is something simple...

Oh - I use an Edge 1000, and this has been happening with Firmware v7 and now v8, and possibly also back to v6
