customize event type

Hello all,

is there a way to modify / customize event types? I would like to add events such as "bike ride in a group" or "bike trip". GC only offers 6 options (I only have the German versions: special event, fitness, hobby, geocaching, unspecified etc.).

Not as far as I'm aware, sorry.

I would like to add events such as "bike ride in a group" or "bike trip".

You can write that into the activity's Notes field, I suppose. It will allow you to filter by keyword for a list of activities in Garmin Connect. The only place I've seen Event Type being applied as a filter is on the list of activities, and not in (say) the Reports widget/page, so I hope that will serve the same purpose for you.

I see nine: Fitness, Geocaching, Race, Recreation, Special Event, Training, Transportation, Touring and Uncategorized in v3.4.0.5 of Garmin Connect online in English – and there are still nine (Besonderes Event, Fitness, Fortbewegung, Freizeit, Geocaching, Nicht klassifiziert, Touren, Training and Wettkampf) after I changed the Language setting to German – but in any case I don't think that is much help.

You're right - now I see 9 as well (don't know where I saw less).

Too bad, there is no solution. Thank you very much for your help.
