Choosing publishing options by device

I have an Edge 800 and a Vivosmart. I want to make my rides on the edge available to my connections but not my activities on the VS.
Currently the only choice I have is to tag them one at a time. Is there a way to set this on a per device basis?

The default privacy level is set on a per user account level in Garmin Connect.

Who can see your new activity?

All activity details, daily summary details and personal courses will default to the privacy level you choose here. However, you can change the privacy on any of these individually at any time.

    So your options are to:
    • manually change the privacy level of (only) activities recorded by the Vivosmart one at a time, but use the default privacy level effortlessly for the activities recorded by the Edge 800 (or vice versa); or
    • set up two separate user accounts in Garmin Connect, and link the Edge 800 to one account and the Vivosmart to the other; or
    • decide to show your connections every activity on either device instead, and save yourself some effort; or
    • decide to show your connections none of your activities, and save yourself some effort.

So the answer is no. Thanks for the reply.

The second option above will do it, provided you're prepared not to see your activities from both devices on the same Garmin Connect account for your own/other purposes.

I want to track my cycling and other activities for myself so having them on one account works better. I also have them tied to myfitnesspal and have connect on my phone and pad. Multiple accounts would not work well.

I want to share my rides with my riding group though. So my current solution is to enable everything visible to my connections and then change the permission to each of the vivosmart activities.
