Garmin Connect is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a few minutes.

Anyone know what the problem is?

The issue as GARMIN wide.... Basecamp(birdseye),Connect, express and website all been down since silly o'clock this morning... I use the birdseye data and slightly PEEVED about this as could have send a general email to every one registered and put a notice on their website about the issue....

even a tweet would have been nice
  • The Garmin site is again down in the weekend. And again no information of what is happening. I think the engineers are looking at "De Ronde van Vlaanderen". I'm glad that I can look at my ride at Strava.

BTW, for those who say Garmin connect is a free app. When I buy a Garmin device then I also pay for the use of Garmin connect. A Garmin device is useless without Garmin connect because there is hardly an alternative for this software.

Totally agree and I think a lot of the customer dissatisfaction is down to the lack of communication by Garmin.

There is still a problem and not a peep from them.

Great products easily one of the worst for customer care.

Day 3 with the Fenix 3 hr. I assumed it was a problem on my side this morning so I spent half an hour disconnecting and reconnecting etc. Now my watch won't re-pair to GC, which I'm assuming is a server issue (the watch still pairs to the phone just not GC).

Anyway, a warning saying "do not adjust your sets" would have been nice....

Garmin down then managed to synch but lost all recent data...

After 2 hours of waiting, I managed to synch again. But I have no data for the past 12 hours. This is ridiculous. Very bad software...

This is why I sync to strava and training peaks, to keep a backup of my data
Im sure one day garmin will just accidentally delete everthing by flicking the wrong switch

I remember the times when I used a Suunto watch. Every tiny little insignificant update that you could not see even if you looked very hard had the site down for days; on one occasion for 7 days. Little detail here: you can’t do anything with the damn Suunto watch without access to the site. You can’t even configure a simple workout. Then I remember the Polar site being useless for months on end. Yes, Garmin is not perfect, but you should actually try the others to appreciate this one a bit more. At least Garmin watches let you set up workouts directly on the watch. You don’t really need their service if you can use third-party tools. The others won’t let you use third-party tools without further trouble. Keep that in mind before you think of switching.

For me the issue is LACK OF NOTICE or INFORMATION.... Give me that and I would not be as bothered... If it is maintenance then I would download what I need etc... I planned to download Birdseye data today that I will need tomorrow when teaching now I can't... If I had known I would have done it sooner!!!! We all are paying for their services the moment we buy a product so they should have the SENSE to keep us informed!!!!!!!!!

Yes, this is annoying. Without prior notice, it looks like they don't care. Communication is king. People buy the product because they want it to be reliable in ALL situations and under all circumstances and with all associated software products. Unfortunately, Garmin, Suunto, Polar, and a couple of others don't get that into their little heads.
