Your account is temporarily locked. Restore your password.

The message above was received when I logged in on MyGarmin with my email address and password.

Then I followed the advice to receive a temporary password in my mailbox.
I logged in with this temporary password AND MY EMAIL ADDRESS which was still on this form!!!

Success! The application asked for a new pasword which was given twice.
Again success! I had access again to my data.

Test: log out and sign in again.
Aaargh: the same error as the first time: "Your account is temporarily locked. Restore your password."

Solution:
Log in with your USER NAME (and NOT with your email address. Even when it requested so or given as an option !!!)

The same applies for sending data from Wahoo Fitness to Garmin connect: don't fill in your email address here but only your USER NAME (user name in upper/lower case make no difference) and your password.
