Old Garmin Connect is highly missed

I opened this thread, but somehow it has been closed and cannot be reopened - so I'll start over :)

The moderator says "just look around in the forums, you will find explanations". Well, I did, and I found a couple of threads like these:

In general, there are two different opinions:

1. The pro-modern say things like
"Get used to it - you have had two years to adapt to the modern interface. And if you had issues, you should have told Garmin two years ago, if you are not satisfied".
I (and many others) did, but noone listened and Garmin certainly did not react. Seems like Garmin only develops with inside-out thinking and producing flashy-looking interfaces that sell - but does not actually work.

2. The pro-classic say: "The modern look is a step backwards for userfriendlyness and functionality".
People are looking desperately for the old functionality (which, by the way, already was quite basic) in vain and Garmin does not appear to do anything to improve the functionality of the modern interface.

I use Garmin products every day - and I have tried this more than once before with Garmin - with car navigation that has highly erroneous firmware, watches that lock up, reboot, reset and cannot upload data and also with slooow and non-technically founded Garmin customer support that keep returning obviously faulty products. They are nice people, but they have no clue about understanding customer needs or even how to listen to their customers post-sales. And now with the "we-force-a-useless-update-to-Connect-upon-you-that-very-few-has-anything-positive-to-say-about" it is really difficult to stay optimistic about Garmin.
