Any way to share workouts but hide the maps?

I want people to be able to see stats like time, distance, pace with others, but I don't want to show the maps of the courses I ran because it would make my home address obvious. (Except for cases where I'm not running near my home.) But it doesn't seem like I can share running stats and participate in leaderboards without showing the exact running path I took. Any options I'm missing/?

You can always just share screen captures.

    No, no there isn't.

I asked this very question a few months ago, no response. I'm yet to find a way to get a response out of Garmin on the issue or provide feedback in a way that they seem will be acted on.

The fact it's either all or nothing for sharing activities is why I haven't added any connections yet in Garmin Connect, and why I use third party sites to share out my workouts. Now that I have a Fenix3HR I'd like to get social with my non-workout data too in ways similar to how Fitbit do it. Unfortunately Garmin doesn't allow this data to be shared out, they're very insular about it. And again internally it's the all or nothing approach.

The insular nature of data access and lack of granularity when it comes to basic privacy simply results in me and others opting for "nothing". This resulting in less promotion of Garmin's services among the fitness community from not only myself but others as a whole.
  • Screenshots only OR viewer-interactive everything for an activity: good enough for me

Being able to have different privacy settings for individual activities is good enough for me. I couldn't do that with TomTom MySports.

Of course, I primarily share activities that are experiments in trying to demonstrate and/or replicate issues with the Garmin product for discussion and no other purpose, so it makes sense to show every aspect of activity data collected, and allowing others to trace and/or zoom into specific data points helps.
