What's going on with "Breakdown" data

Former Member
Former Member
When I upload my steps from the previous day's activity, I like to go back and look at how my "highly active" and "active" compared with my "sedentary" percentages. This morning, when I went to do this both sleeping and sedentary showed as 0% - since I just woke up, that percentage for today should be quite a bit more.

Going back, it only shows me as "highly active" or "active" for every day as far back as I checked (Feb. 10th).

What's going on here?

Am I the only one having this issue? Or is it simply that I'm the only person who uses the "breakdown" report?

    Garmin Connect Breakdown

I'm having the same problem - the breakdown figures only give me active and very active percentages, with the sedentary and sleep percentages set at 0%. This has been happing since March 23rd, but there seems to be no indication of issues on the status page, only that Segments are down. Is there anything I can do to get the full breakdown figures back?

Me too; and the information which was there a couple of months ago has disappeared, but only in the Sedentary and Sleep sections - the remaining Active and Very Active values remain as they were, i.e, do not add up to 100%. The last few days in Breakdown the Very Active and Active combined come to 100% .
  • I've noticed this. Just another bug in the stack of problems with Garmin software.

    Re Breakdown

I messaged the Garmin helpdesk about the issue before the weekend - still waiting for a reply.

Finally an answer, but no fix yet...

    Same here

I contacted support on 25th March but because of the other problems they have just got back to me. Re-sync was their advice! I have now sent them screenshots showing today's corrupted data and that of 29th Feb. Whatever has corrupted the data has corrupted all of it.
At least I now know it isn't my computer at fault.

I've just had a reply from the helpdesk today too, saying that there is a problem with the system which has been resolved, but it will take a little time for it to sort through all the data (my words, not theirs - there was a lot of verbiage).
