Garmin Express or computer wont recognise Edge 520

I have just purchased an Edge 520 and I must admit it isn't the easiest of things to set up. Bluetooth was enabled so my rides were downloaded via that, brilliant. However I could not link the thing to my computer and Garmin Express, I tried everything, contacted customer support who sent an email with things to do, still no joy. I then as a last resort used my Samsung phone USB cable and hey presto, drivers downloaded and Garmin Express linked.
Who would have thought a dodgy USB cable on a brand new unit!?:rolleyes:
  • I suspect it was more likely a problem within your system than a faulty cable. However this forum is about Garmin Connect. If you really believe your cable is faulty please contact the retailer where you purchased it.
