Manually Editing Workout Synced Distance Produces an Error

If the user goes into an automatically synced event (I've only done this on swim...haven't tested others) and attempts to manually edit the distance, Connect throws the error Your 2,500.00 value is not within permissible limits.. Trial and error has shown that the problem is the comma that Connect inserts when the user clicks the edit icon.

    Yeah, there's tons of these.
Eg. edit an indoor workout = Sorry, 0km is not within permissible limits. It's garbage.

I'm seeing the same thing. I've been using my Garmin swim for a couple of years and editting the distance after the swim because it doesn't register the kick laps. All of a sudden when I edit the activity I can't save it (whether I change the distance or not). Anyone know the cause of the issue or a work around?

    Can't edit my swim workout

I am getting this too, a few months ago I could add my laps and distance

Your 1,050 value is not within permissible limits.

I don't know what update they did but I hope they fix it, for some reason it let me do less,so I believe it's the comma, which I didn't put in, the program inserts.

editing swim distance doesn't work anymore

I can no longer edit my swim distance which I used to do because I do 300 yds of kicking each day. When I click on the edit pencil icon in the upper right I can edit some values but the distance is fixed and uneditable. I used to be able to do this. What is going on?
  • Strokes and SWOLF charts disappear after editing swim workout and can't edit distance

Since 3-4 days ago, if I edit a swim workout a couple of things happen:
    1) Strokes and SWOLF charts disappear (and don't come back after logout/login), only the Pace chart is left.
    2) Distance is not an editable field anymore.

As others mentioned above, since a few weeks ago, when editing swim distance it could only be saved if removing commas, but now not even that. The field is not editable.

    Any feedback on this?

    Thanks.
  • This needs urgent attention by Garmin - it is essential to be able to edit distance/lengths for a pool swim

No longer able to manually adjust distance

Having the same issues, since last week. Used to be able to edit distance by removing commas and decimal places completely. Now don't get the option to edit at all.
