Time in Zones with custom zones

Hi,
This morning I did a run in which I focused on staying in the higher half of zone 3. When I look at garmin connect, I should see that almost all my time was spent in zone 3. However, it seems that the "time in zones" does not take into account custom zones. It says I was mostly in zone 4 which would be true if I had left default zones. Is it like this for everybody? Thanks!

    Same problem here...

Garmin Connect has my default max hr at 190. After some trials I have deemed mine to be 170. I changed it in Connect while leaving the zones the same %. Ie 90%, 80% etc.
After completing a very intense ride with my 520 and seeing onscreen a hr up to 162 the download still shows 0 minutes in zone 5. My ride was over 2 hours in length would have had a few bursts over 90% for a minute or two a time....yet nothing shown in Connect for zone 5. I AM CONFUSED!
  • Sadly, I think custom HR Zones are just not synced and/or used, at least on the FR235

Is it like this for everybody?
I suspect so. As an experiment, I defined and saved custom HR zones for Cycling in Garmin Connect online, then synced my FR235 twice (just to be sure) – once with Garmin Express on my Mac, and once with the Garmin Connect Mobile app on my Android device – and then tracked a walk as a Cycling workout. While on the walk, I noticed that the HR Zone Gauge data screen was using the ‘Default’ HR zone thresholds to determine the current HR Zone. The Time in Zones (screenshot) for the workout, after the activity data was saved and synced with Garmin Connect, is definitely not using the custom HR zones I set for Cycling.
