Fixing calorie count from past days -- GC still with wrong values.

So reportedly some of the problems for the last week are fixed:

https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?345813-MyFitnessPal-down-on-Monday-April-14-2016-%28-%29&p=818810#post818810

and at the moment, GC is finally pulling today's latest values from MFP.

But my calorie consumed values for the past several days remain wildly inaccurate.

It seems that GC never goes back to update earlier days -- so that when a false value gets set (as happened often with the recent troubles/errors synching with MFP) or when GC has decided it's gotten the "final word" on a day's values (even if there are subsequent changes at MFP), there's no way to correct it.

Syncing appears only gets the latest value for "today" ... it doesn't check previous days to correct errors or incomplete results.

And this makes the history and graphs and so forth largely worthless.

Is there some way to correct those past errors and force GC to correct its values based on MFC's history.

Are there any plans to make GC keep checking a day's value for at least 24 hours after a day ends - if not longer - so it can correct this sort of problem in future?

Have you tried clicking on the sync now link when in the day you want to fix? I'm pretty sure this has worked for me in the past.

Yes, I've tried clicking that on the incorrect days. It fixed it sometimes, not others. Very odd.

I have one day in the last two weeks where, despite doing that 'fix' a few times, it still acts as if I ate nothing on that day.

Seems to me that GC should sync the last, say, 3 days when it syncs, not just the current one. I think it's fair to assume that people will often be making some additions the day after - or, as I do, using bedtime as the end of the day, not midnight - or corrections or etc.

Otherwise this 'fix' will have to be performed way too often, even if it /did/ always make the necessary corrections.
