Modern Connect - alternative ??

So it appears that all the threads concerning the forced migration to the "Modern" Connect have been closed/ locked.

I absolutely  hate this new version of Connect - is there an alternative website/pogram that anyone can recommend?
  • I'm just a user and not a moderator, but I'll say this.. Modern first came out 2 years ago, and late last year the fact that classic was going away, with a date, has been widely known (I even got message specifically about it when I switched to classic months ago for some reason I don't recall).

It's been two years, which is FAR longer than most vendors allow for changes to their website to be made "the norm".

Posting threads here and complaining won't change anything, IMHO, as there are already multiple threads complaining about this "Sudden Change" (2 years), but you'll note that there really aren't many people complaining - it seems to be the same ones on all the threads....

SportTracks is my choice. Strava is popular. There's RunKeeper, RideWithGPS, MapMyRun, any number of them. What features are you looking for?

What I'd like to know though, is whether there are other sites from which we can upload Workouts. I don't know how to do that from anywhere else than GC (or, for legacy users, Garmin Training Center, which was also infinitely superior to GC).
  • just start using the modern wiew :)
i hated it in the beginning to but i love it today

    Garmin alternatives

People I know are switching to Strava free from garmin connect after forcing through of "modern" - though still using garmin as free backup service. The real issue for Garmin is how people are seeing that they are ignoring customer feedback and wishes and going too be going for the new Kit from Polar computers and Go Pro. The Virb XE is decent camera but again they are ignoring requests to fix bugs - online engagement is a great tool but not if it shows up poor customer engagement.

Jim, I think you are missing the point here, this isn't about the speed of change. It's simply about people prefer I g classic and them being ignored, or told they are wrong. Is that clear to you now?
  • You've made your point. You've had your answer. Now please move on. Many folks are very happy with Modern, trying to cling on to an older way of working isn't helping anyone. Feel free to make constructive comments about how Modern could be improved.
