Distance measurements

This may be a dumb question . . . but . . .

I see Garmin Connect now only works in MODERN setting, is there any way to change it back?

My stupid question is . . . how the *** do you determine distance on your track? Only total distance is posted. I see only "elevation" and "pace" but no way to determine distance into the specific trail.

I do not like the modern settings.

On the lower left corner just below the display of the map, there is a toggle choice for "Over time" or "Over Distance". If you choose "Over Distance", you can see the distance at any given spot in the map on the elevation graph below.
