Hey, nice customer focus Garmin - so many people want the old version that you're closing/deleting any posts asking for it back - I think the term is cognitive bias - you're so attached to your new version that any feedback not supporting your view is disregarded.

Don't believe me? - put up a questionaire on which version your customers (and yes, they are the people you're supposed to be delighting!) prefer

Or, if you've decided that customer satisfaction doesn't matter then just don't show this post, don't put up a questionaire and accept that you arent really interested in anything but your investment. I think you'll find that people will use your service as back up and focus on directly using Strava! Nice work.

Hey Scott, Are you really asking for a thread to be deleted because you don't agree with it? Is that really an attitude you're happy to go public with?

We are the product. The customers of Garmin Connect are the companies who buy our biometric and location data.

Yes, I am. And I was totally not even a little bit being sarcastic. Really. I promise... CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO... oh, I can't keep this up.
  • Here's another ‘voice of the customer’

Or, if you've decided that customer satisfaction doesn't matter then just don't show this post, don't put up a questionaire and accept that you arent really interested in anything but your investment.
Just to add another voice from the customer base:

I personally don't care what you prefer, and I'm not surprised if Garmin doesn't either. However many customers you claim are agitating for Garmin Connect classic to be reinstated and/or maintained, you're still in the minority. I'm sure having another option is better than not having one, but as a fellow customer – with equal entitlements, ‘rights’ and importance – I don't think you/we are entitled to having that option. You can call it poor customer service or lack of customer focus all you want, and that's your prerogative; on the other hand, being accommodated is not your prerogative.

I've seen enough evidence to conclude that Garmin and/or the forum moderators are not systematically deleting dissenting posts and hiding them from view. SUSSAMB has been quite openly telling you and others that all this jumping up and down is pointless and won't get you anywhere.

I think you'll find that people will use your service as back up and focus on directly using Strava!
I have no intention of doing that. In any case, as long as consumers keep choosing and buying Garmin wearables, why should the company care that customers aren't using the free Garmin Connect service as much as they could, with the happy consequences of lighter loads being placed on its servers, and less urgency to invest in scaling up (or scaling out) the hardware to accommodate?
