Garmin Connect Doesn't See My VivoActive

Today I logged into Garmin Connect via my computer's web browser (Firefox). When I tried to view my Garmin Vivoactive's stats it tells me this:

Devices

You have no device on Garmin Connect.

Transfer information to and from your device, including activities and software updates, with Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.

I have Garmin Connect Mobile installed on my iphone. It's sync'ing with the Vivoactive (although sometimes that doesn't happen for days on end - another issue to be discussed elsewhere).

The web version of Connect has worked fine in the past. Am I doing something wrong here, or is there a problem?

    No, just the one.

    However, when I fired up Garmin Express and connected the watch to the computer to update it, shortly afterwards Garmin recognised my account's full details and the info stored online.

    That one has me tossed.
