Vivosmart apps not working

My weather and music app always tell me that there is No app connection available. The only time I am able to access these features is if I open the Connect mobile app then the data will appear on my vivosmart band. Once I close the Connect mobile app I receive the same message. Is this a bug in my band? I am also having issue with the stair calculation. It tells me that I climb between 15-20 stairs a day when I actually only do about 5 flights a day.
