Goals

I am a fairly new user to Garmin Connet. I have a Forerunner 15. I set up a goal, using the activity of steps to walk 1000 miles in a year. But, when I sync my data, none of my daily steps are put towards my goal. I got my Forerunner in early January and set up my goal from 1/1/16-12/31/16.

How can I get all my steps to be applied to my goal?? I've synced all the data from the watch to Garmin Connect.

I am so lost and confused.
  • The FR-15 is not a activity/steps tracker (doesn't record 'Steps') - it is a gps running watch (uses GPS during activity to monitor distance traveled and speed).

So if you want to track miles ran/walked - it will need to be entered as a goal to "Any activity" "Distance". If you do walks/runs inside or without watch, you can create activities manually via that app or website which will be entered to the total as well.

Actually, the FR15 is also an activity/step tracker. The FR10 isn't. (I've had both - the FR10 with a vivofit to do step tracking, and the FR15 to do everything on it's own)

But I never tried using it with goals, other than a daily step goal.

It might be that the FR15 doesn't support downloading goals. Best place to check is the Fr15 forum:
