Since the GarminConnect software release 3.3 for iOS in Feb, the auto-export of activities from GC to MMR posts all activities as Private, regardless of how the MMR activity Privacy settings are configured (mine are configured to share with My Connections). Uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, changing the privacy settings in MMR, disconnecting and re-connecting the auto-export -- none of these actions help. Any suggestions?
Garmin Connect sync to Map My Run - Privacy Settings
During February, all my runs at Garmin Connect sync with Map My Run, but are marked 'Private' and none of my friends can see them. I had changed nothing in either Garmin or MMR. After about 4 hours of playing with all the privacy settings, I can finally get my runs to display for my friends again, but I can't get the other prior February runs to show for my friends. Very Very frustrating as I had some very special runs with my daughter that I wanted to share. And now it looks like it wasn't something I did, but some back door "upgrade" by Garmin that cost me 4 hours of frustration? I am not a happy customer Garmin.
My activities aren't uploading to MapMyRun Correctly either
I'm having the same issue. I can go in and manually change the privacy setting on MMR for each activity, but part of the fun for my group of friends is to get notifications when we've completed an activity. Since these are now loading as private initially, those notifications aren't being sent. This is a new issue.
I finally got a response from MapMyRun. They said that they have changed their settings so that Garmin imports will only be visible to your MMR connections if your Garmin privacy setting is to "Everyone." So, if your Garmin privacy is set to "My Connections," it will upload to MMR as private. I asked if this was their final answer and if they'd consider changing it back so that only friends on both platforms could view the activities automatically. No response yet.
My wifes account had the same issue, I think i might have solved it yesterday by changing her MMR account to Private.... save settings.... then change it back to what you want.
