Phantom activities appearing on Connect

Error Activities

I am getting the same problem as there are about 8-10 new Untitled activities added to my Garmin account each day and each night. Most activities have 0.00km distance and are classed as Activity Type "Other". I think it started over the weekend.

It's not coming form my Garmin devices as I check the History on the device and they are correct without these error activities. It seems like they are being loaded from somewhere?? Appreciate any assistance to resolve this.

I am getting the same thing. I think it started happening after a recent update. I want to delete my account and start over but cant figure out how to do that.

Support request logged to Garmin

This keeps on happening, and I keep deleting the activities.
The worse thing is they go straight to Strava, and I get Kudos for them !!
I have logged a support request with Garmin, so I am hanging out for the "I/O = Idiot Operator" error questions about manual activities and 'what did I do wrong', and 'you are better off talking with a person directly because you are an idiot' responses that I normally get to support requests !!

So they got back to me quickly, wanting to know name, address, phone number, device, proof of purchase, .... !!
One potential link is device faults.
I have a Fenix 3, v6.8.
What device and version are other people with the issue running ?

I have disconnected my Strava account from Garmin as I was getting too many kudos for 0.00 km in 23:00 minutes!!

I have the same device as Nick.... Fenix 3 version 6.80 so there is the first connection. Nobody from Garmin has contacted me yet though!!

Just checking Strava and there are loads of activities uploaded with 0.00km distance so suspect majority are fenix 3 owners who have auto connect from GC

It seems that Garmin Connect is still misinterpreting activity tracking data from many Fenix 3 units. I had this issue temporarily (5 days) immediately after the big Garmin a Connect outage on Sunday 7 Feb (I was on 6.72 beta at the time). For me the issue was fixed on Thu 11 Feb, but there are plenty for whom the misery continues. The phantom activities do cease if you turn activity tracking off; not ideal, but a work around whilst Garmin get the Connect platform fixed for all Fenix 3 owners.

Thanks, that's an interesting read.
It seems the early issues with the beta release were fixed and then caused new issues for people on 6.8 over the last few days.
It's good to know it's a little more widespread and hopefully Garmin are working on it.
I got one more phantom overnight, but nothing yet today and I think there was a Garmin Connect update.
We'll wait and see and I'll turn activity tracking off if the problem continues.

I have always had Move Alert off, as it's really annoying, but that didn't stop phantoms for me.
No more phantoms today, so far, but its been a relatively inactive day for me!
