Device UNKNOWN with Garmin Connect 3.3

My activities uploaded with the latest version of GC are displaying the device as UNKNOWN. However, the firmware version of the device (Fenix 3) is being decoded correctly. The first two activities to display this behavior happened on firmware version 6.5, which had previously worked fine with the previous version of GC. As such, I believe this is an issue introduced with 3.3.

Anyone else noticing this?

this has been dicussed andlessly for the last 2 weeks but still an big issue for many off us
its a PITA to delete all those phantom activityes in three different accounts :(

I am not seeing the phantom activity problem. These are my actual activities being uploaded, but GC doesn't recognize the device. I believe this has a negative effect on some of the device specific analysis that is done once the activity is uploaded.

Mine is also showed as an unknown device

Kafolske, are you using activity tracking? If so, you're possibly the first to report seeing unknown device, but no phantom workouts from activity tracking.

Tracking Off - Device Still Unknown

I have activity tracking off but still show as "Unknown Device"... I'll see if it's still the same later today.

I also have an unknown device on running activities on 24th and 25th of januari. From 27th till 31th of januari my device (Fenix 3) is recognized correctly. Since 2nd february I have an unknown device again. I have no phantom activities. Activity tracking is on and FW is 6.50 from the first day this FW was published.

Update: installed FW6.80 this morning. Now having phantom activities and the unknown devices are replaced with a quatix.

My fenix 3 is now showing like this in GC

FrankGNL, +1 for this. I haven't uploaded anything since the 6.80 update yesterday, but now my recent previous activities with f3 that used to be 'unknown' now is 'quatix 3' as well. That shows they're working on it, and that it is the device mapping on GC side that is at fault.
