Unable to sync 510 with garmin connect

Every time I try to install items via garmin connect I get the red "there was an error syncing with garmin connect" message.

This first started when I installed the firmware that should allow me to see kom on strava.

Only one of these has ever uploaded to my 510 device over the past few months.

Now I no longer get the garmin would like to connect message on my iphone and have o upload all my sessions to training peaks manually through my laptop.

Very time consuming and frustrating. can anyone help?

    Things to try:

    Make sure your time and date on the computer are correct. Also ensure that the system time zone is correct.

    Go to Garmin Connect and clear anything in the sync queue- software updates, workouts, courses, segments, etc.

    Update Garmin Express and reboot computer
