Hi,
I've a long-time user of the 'classic' view.
I've just switched to 'Modern' view.
On longer rides ( say >100k ), when you zoom in to look at the track, it's horribly down-sampled.
Looking at the same activity in classic view is fine.
So the actual data is all fine.
Shorter rides don't seem to be so badly affected.
Example 100k ride
Classic view is fine:
https://connect.garmin.com/activity/1041271774
Zoom in to street-level, and you can see the track following curves in the road etc.
I can usually even see which side of the road I was on, and I can usually see myself riding round the roundabouts etc.
Now look at the same track in Modern view:
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1041271774
Zoom in to street-level, and you can see it's horribly down-sampled, just straight lines where the missing trackpoints have been discarded.
Here's another example, this is a 600k ride.
Zoom in to the start / finish pins and look at me riding on the streets of Galashiels.
In classic view, you can see me going round the roundabouts and everything.

In Modern view, do the same.
It's a down-sampled mess.

Is there any way to turn off this horrendous down-sampling?
Who on earth thought this was a good thing to do?
