Hello,
I recently started using a vivosmart hr and I do not know if this is user error or something else is going on. I have searched for a couple days and could not find this exact issue.
To start i have MFP set to sedentary and 0 for garmin connect activity level. I am 29 5'11'' and 205 pounds.
I have my goal to lose 1 pound a week.
MFP gives me a calorie goal of 1880.
On Monday all I did for exercise was walk and the Garmin counted 5570 for steps and MFP gave me 905 for exercise. 1880-1607+905=1194. I do not understand how 5570 steps equates to an extra 905 calories. Day 2
same routine slightly more steps at 5864. MFP gave me +1203 for exercise as that is what carried over from Garmin Connect.
Today I tried something different. I used the cardio feature on the wristband and tracked the walk. The difference this time, at the end of the day 5,5054 steps is only giving me +361 for steps and it carried over +64 calories for an aerobics, general = +425.
Given i am roughly between 5 and 5500 steps a day how come there is such a huge difference in the extra calories I was given? Was it because today i tracked the walk?
Garmin Connect shows the following:
5570 steps at 3309 cal 5 floors up/8 down 1,011 active calories
5864 steps at 3599 cal 6 floors up/6 down 1,301 active calories
5054 steps at 2409 cal 4 floors up/4 down 443 active calories
Why are the active calories so high on the first two days when i didn't use the cardio function, but on the third day when i did it's drastically lower?
Please help me, maybe I am doing things wrong.
