Invalid Course message appears when transferring course from Garmin Connect Edge 510

When I create a course using Connect and transfer it to my device it appears on my device but when i try to open it I get a "Invalid Course" message and it won't open - what is wrong?

    Mine is coming up with transfer error, maybe a problem with GC?

    ...and I think I just fixed it. For me it was all in the file name. Originally my course name was xxxx 1/2M as it was a half marathon distance. I then renamed it xxxx Half M and it has worked perfectly.

    Perhaps special characters in the file name could be causing an issue?
