Connect & Express Help

I have just purchased a Vivoactive.

I would like to know if the data on the web app via Garmin express (attaching vis the base) is automatically uploaded to the same place as the data that is synced to the android app via a smartphone over bluetooth.

Should I be able to open the web app on my laptop and see the data automatically uploaded via the android app so that I do not have to sync it to my laptop as well?

Cheers.
  • The main repository for data is Connect on the web. If you sync with the app, it goes to the web and then back to the app. If you sync with Express, you can refresh the app by pulling down on the app's display. A lot of people have multiple Garmin devices and the data from all devices will be consolidated online and in the app.

So the answer is yes. It only needs to be synced one time and it really doesn't matter how you choose to do it.
