Not being a Vivo Active owner, I'm not too familiar with the device. But can I ask: are you able to record your Cross Country Skiing as another type of event, then change the event type once it's uploaded to garmin connect? That's what a lot of people do for weight training sessions on devices that don't have that type of event built in.
