New GC Version: 16.2.0.11 - phantoms, empty activities

Hi,

yesterday a new version of GC has been released - Version: 16.2.0.11.
Suddenly, I got some phantoms, empty activities.

It's a bug of GC?

I have Fenix 3 watch with beta FW, but looks like a GC issue, it's first time with this abnormal behaviour of GC.

Please report, especially if you are users of other than F3 watches.

Yup, fw now official and problem is persisting.

We actually have no idea if the GC forums are monitored by anyone at garmin, as our F3 forum is. So my opinion is since the fw is now official (yes, I expect issues with beta fw and would only report that to the beta team) then I think it's time to report this through official sources; through support via email and phone.

Just adding my experience to the list of those still getting Phantom Activities and Unknown Device in Garmin Connect, even now the Fenix 3 is on a non beta/routine software version (6.80). If the GC team are monitoring, the issue is very much still alive and viral since the production software 6.80 for the Fenix 3 was released yesterday.

The only temporary fix to the Phantom Activities is to turn activity tracking off; which is just eliminating a huge feature set and not really a solution at all.

[In case anyone is wondering why we're all posting on here rather than the Fenix 3 forum, it's because the Fenix 3 team cannot fix this as it's a Garmin Connect bug/fault]

Same here, activity tracking now switched off on my F3 to control the mess.

Same here - LOADS of phantoms this morning from my Fenix 3. Never had this issue before but it could become annoying quite quickly and I don't want to turn off activity tracking to fix it.

My phantom activities only happened these 2 days after upgrading F3 software from 6.50 to 6.80, and they only show up in GC not in the F3 History/activities.

This phantom activities has now become TOTAL BS

I have been extremely patient with this issue. I have endured it for over 3 weeks now and have been quiet and monitored the forum for any kind of news from the Garmin Connect project team. I go in daily to delete the 10 or more phantom activities that show up in my activities list and all the phantom entries in Strava and Vitality. Not so much as a peep out of the Garmin Connect team. It is a MAJOR flaw in the Garmin Connect software. I am told just to turn off activity tracking until it is fixed. After 3 weeks THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. It would be REALLY wonderful if SOMEONE from the Garmin Connect side of things would tell us what is being done with this issue.

I'm sorry for shouting but I believe all most of us want is just SOME kind of feedback and to know that we can expect a fix or a way to backout the faulty Garmin Connect software that is causing this issue and this is something we are not getting!

for my that's not all.
This morning I have been surprised by GC again.

All my activities are now DOUBLED... all since July 2015... I have no words for that.
I have to clean my GC step by step. it could be more than 250 activities to delete. Finding them is not so easy, I have to be careful to keep these I need in real.
