New GC Version: 16.2.0.11 - phantoms, empty activities

Seems like this is an issue with Fenix. I have a vivoactive and am not seeing this. Anyone else with a different device?

Perhaps, but I was running the same FW on my fenix for about 6 days before this started (and now has continued with a SW update... not that it wasn't in both FWs).

I got 15 false entries today so far :mad:

Same here. 22 activities, and all transered to Strava and SportTracks :-/

Same here..
Fenix 3 on 6.55 beta but it didn't start until they updated GC.
The symbol on the activities is a person not doing anything but standing there with their arms out.
(looks like some kind of general "active" thing)
I'm going to have to turn off the Strava connection.

Same here. F3, beta 6.63, happened with USB sync. Phantoms entries actually had some distance with the USB sync, i.e. not just time.

magical activities

I created a thread (just after this one) on "empty" activities that magically appear !
This thread is anterior, I will continue here ...

I do not know if the problem is due to my fenix3 or Garmin Connect (or Garmin Mobile) but my first two "phantoms activities" are appeared yesterday, just after the update 16.2.0.11
I have deleted because I thought it was an occasional bug.

This morning I discovered 4 new "phantoms activities", online at Garmin Connect (and also on my smartphone).
They include a time but not distance, no elevation gain, no calories, no speed, etc.
See "Attached Images".

Then, I did this :

- Remove the Garmin Mobile app on my smartphone and all its data,
- Hard Reset of the watch,
- Update to firmware 6.63 Beta Release,
- New installation of mobile application ...

Later, and despite all this, a new "phantom activity" appeared !!!

But this time it includes additional data :

0.09 Km ... 14:00 min ... 0.4 km/h ... 2 C

As I have not planned to use the watch in the afternoon, I shut it down and I put it on my desk.
I wanted to check if something appears during the inactivity of the fenix3.

8 hours have passed since the shutdown of the watch : still no suspicious activity, lol.

I'll switch it on and see what happens ... I will post my results ...

J'ai créé un fil (juste après celui-ci) sur les activités « vides » qui apparaissent comme par magie !
Comme ce fil est antérieur, je vais continuer ici ...

Je ne sais pas si le problème est dû à ma fenix3 ou à Garmin Connect (ou Garmin Mobile) mais mes deux premières « activités fantômes » sont apparues hier, juste après la mise à jour 16.2.0.11
Je les ai supprimées sans en tenir compte ; je pensais qu'il s’agissait d’un bug occasionnel.

Ce matin je découvre 4 nouvelles « activités fantômes » en ligne, sur Garmin Connect (et aussi sur mon smartphone).
Elles comprennent un temps, mais pas de distance, aucun gain d'altitude, pas de calories, pas de vitesse, etc.

J’ai alors fait ceci :

- Suppression de l'application Garmin Mobile sur mon smartphone et de toutes ses données,
- Hard Reset de la montre,
- Mise à jour du firmware 6.63 Beta Release,
- Nouvelle installation de l’application portable ...

Plus tard, et malgré tout cela, une nouvelle « activité fantôme » est apparu !!!

Mais cette fois, avec des données supplémentaires :

Comme je n'ai pas prévu d'utiliser la montre cette après-midi, je l’ai éteinte et je l'ai mise sur mon bureau.
Je voulais vérifier si quelque chose apparait au cours de l'inactivité de la fenix3.

8 heures se sont écoulées depuis l'arrêt de la montre : toujours pas d'activité suspecte, lol.

Je vais la rallumer et observer ce qui se passe ... Je reviendrais poster mes résultats ...

Had the same issue. After closing GCM and rebooting my i-Phone 6s it didn't happen again (since 8 hours now- fingers crossed).

One more here, with F3 6.55 and iOS 9.2

My 35 phantom activities were easy to erase in GC, a bit more painful on Strava ;)
