I can't believe there is no data connection for Microsoft Healthvault!
Devs, take a look at Healthvault (the site, not the phone app) and the support data links to ALL your competitors databases. The on-phone connection is cute, but a total waste of time. Make a connector that sits on Microsoft's servers and connects to yours, like every other fitness company has figured out. We will be loyal device purchasers of you let us keep and manipulate our data!! Hog tie us to your stand alone island of Garmin, and we'll bail on you the first chance we get!
This lack of support is pathetic.
Like or dislike Windows, it is the largest supported user OS on the planet.
Connecting to Healthvault would allow us to actually use our data any way we want. It would allow Windows 8 & 10 live tiles for fitness data on our desktops with zero development need from you, and it already provides a way to secure message health tracker data to physicians and keep it along side our secured medical data.
Healthvault also takes care of being able to manipulate your data as well as other tracking data and medical record systems, prescription management and more Garmin needing to support their protocols!
Take a lesson from Fitbit, Jawbone, heck any of your major competitors. Even Polar has a connector!
I'm hopeful you'll make the minimal effort required to develop a simple connector that can allow Garmin Connect to actually Connect.
I'll be returning my brand new Vivismart HR!
Sorry I gave Garmin a chance, the lack of connectivity is a total disappointment.
Too bad, it's an otherwise great product that won't connect to anything.
