Accurate mileage / cumulative elevation for 64st

Hi there,

Any ideas on finding the most accurate mileage and cumulative elevation readings (all the bumps and hills ascended on a hike, versus net elevation gain) from my 64st?

I imported the .gpx track to both Google Earth and Garmin Connect, and they're telling me different mileage and elevation numbers for my track than what my 64st has recorded. I also tried disabling elevation correction on Garmin Connect-again, a different set of numbers.

I understand that there will be small variances in whichever method I choose; I'm trying to figure out the most accurate method: take the readings directly from the device, import to Google Earth, or import to Garmin Connect (in which case, disable or enable elevation correction?).

Normally I wouldn't mind small variances, but I'm trying to get accurate readings for a project.

Thank you and appreciate help/suggestions,
Melissa
