Garmin reports not reflecting an edit to uploaded data

First of all, I apologize if there is already a thread about this, I searched and didn't seem to find anything that quite matched.

So my issue is with Garmin Connect reports. I have recently been forced indoors due to the cold temperatures and my Garmin reads 0.94ish miles for what my local Y tells me is a mile on their indoor track, I have not tried calibrating, I'm just lazy like that. So after my data is uploaded and I make it home to my computer I have been editing the activity to show the correct distance. However, I noticed the last time I did this that it never seems to correct the mileage on the reports feature. So for example, my run today is showing as 8.00 miles in activities and in reports it shows my miles run today as 7.53 miles. It only seems to be reports that is having the issue. The correct mileage is being added to the gear I add on, but I add it to the workout after I change the distance. Maybe I'm just too much of an type A but I would really like my reports to update if I changed the mileage of the activity, is there something I can do to fix this or is this a Garmin issue?

I have briefly read about issues with GC - various anomalies as you reported too. I looked at this too as after often editing my swim data (not always giving correct swim distance), it shows up in the reports as what my watch had it set to and not the edited version. I assumed this sort of programming would be easy, modified in one section and takes it over to another, clearly they aren't linked.

Probably at the arse end of Garmins 'to do list' though given the number of things they are constantly working on...
  • This problem started on Nov 15th last year. It's a known problem Which Garmin has said they will fix. There are workarounds that have been posted.

The first is to make the changes immediately after syncing. Waiting a minute is probably too long.

If that doesn't work, make the changes, export the activity, delete the original in Connect, and then re-import the corrected activity.

Thanks! I will give the second one you mentioned a try. Since it is usually 45 or more minutes after the activity loads via bluetooth until I can change it on my computer at home.
