Where to find Garmin's daily BMR calorie calculation? - calculation appears incorrect

I want to see what my daily estimated BMR that GC is using to sync with myfitnesspal - either through GC or GCM. If I go off of the current day's BMR calories that is shown in the GCM app, if I divide that by cals/minute, it seems to end up quite higher than what my estimated BMR is using the St Jeor formula (which is what MFP also uses).

When I calculate Garmin's current BMR calories for a day, it puts me a few hundred calories higher than my actual BMR according to the St Jeor equation.

Is there a way to see what Garmin is using as "BMR" for calculations? What BMR formula are they using and are they adding any calories to it based on NEAT etc (eg. adding the sedentary value for activity factor)?

I'm wondering if this is messing up the negative calorie adjustments on MFP as the BMRs appear to be different?? As I seem to notice that is happening.

Update: I think it might be MFP and how it does its calculations for BMR based on activity level that could be adding to the calorie adjustment differences.

Garmin looks to calculate BMR via St Jeor and multiplies by 1.2 to get a sedentary value (presuming from harris formula activity factor of sedentary), at least off what I'm seeing. Who can confirm this - garmin support?

However MFP appears to pad the 1.2 value by adding almost 100 calories more for the sedentary activity level. So think this is why the negative adjustments are showing up more often.

Garmin's BMR value and MFP's BMR values should match to avoid this. What would be the easiest way to confirm - check with support?

    thanks
