Error Calculating Average Power

Former Member
Former Member
I searched this thread and did not see this bug, so I apologize if this has been discussed.

I have uploaded events via an 920xt and TrainerRoad with 4iiii and powertap power meters. In Garmin Connect (web Modern view) in all instances, the Max Avg drop down to calculate average power figures (5sec, 1min, 5min, etc) results in error "An error occurred calculating average power."

In Classic view, the buttons to calculate these figures are unresponsive.

Tested on Chrome, Edge, and IE 10 browsers.

Thanks,
Dave
  • Annoying Problem having same issue!!!!

So I'm using a edge 520 and this problem is happening to me as well,
I called Garmin and they know about this problem and are "working hard to find a solution"
so I'm told. Just drives me nuts you spend good money on theses products and they don't work.
Here's to the problem being fixed in a timely manner.
    Cheers Dean
  • Me too w/ 520, but not 310XT

Same as you - my rides with my new Edge 520 give me the "An error occurred calculating average power" error (in Modern view, in Classic view it just does nothing when I click the button), but the rides I do with my 310XT calculate Max Avg. Power just fine.

Glad to hear they're working on it, but it is pretty frustrating that it works with an older device and not the newer one.

I have been experiencing this issue when using my power meter on the turbo trainer. It works fine as soon as there is a GPS signal though. Any solutions found?
