Importing GPX Files from Basecamp to Connect

Hi there. I created several tracks in Basecamp and I'm trying to figure out how I can upload the GPX files that I created in Basecamp into Connect so I can sync it with my watch over BT? I tried uploading the files as activities but I get a "failed to create file" just about every time. Does this mean that exported GPX Basecamp files are not compatible with Connect?

So I found a workaround but it's kind of ridiculous.

    1. Export from basecamp as GPX
    2. Convert to GPX at http://www.gpsies.com/
    3. Import GPX into Connect
    4. Convert Activity into Course
    5. Delete activity
    6. Send to device on mobile app

Is all this really necessary? I'm surprised there's no "send to connect" button in Basecamp?

It's also a connect issue considering Connect won't accept the GPX file generated by Basecamp. I should note the GPX file works fine on other sites like Endomondo, mapmyfitness and Trimbleoutdoors.
