Strength training does not count in statistic, any tips?

Has got a problem with "reports" on Garmin Connect. Previously, strength training counted in number and "Total activity time". Now strength training don’t count, they are saved as an activity but is not counted in the "statistics". Running and cycling functions as normal.

Any tips?

PS: formerly strengthen activities added that "strength training" automatically, now they are placed as "Uncategorized". I change manually to "Strength training", but they will still not included in the statistics on the time and number statistic.

Using Garmin Fenix 3 with 5.10. SW
  • This sounds like the issue with the Reports on Connect... when you upload the activity initially, it's likely defaulting to "running", and just not showing up in reports accurately after you update the activity type. If I change my "other" activity to strength training right away (like within 10 seconds of uploading it), it will show up in reports accurately.

Very frustrating, and while tons of folks are reporting the same issue in various threads here, I have no idea if Garmin acknowledges this as a problem. It appears to have started in early December.

My strength training activities are not included in the reports either. This is extremely annoying!!

While Garmin may monitor this somewhat, it is primarily a users forum. I'd encourage you (and others) to call Garmin customer support to register your complaints. It is disappointing that the software implementation lags behind the hardware so badly. I wish they would concentrate on fixing this rather than pumping out duplicative devices, making cosmetic changes to the software and adding what promises to be useless fluff (Garmin Insights).
