I've been using Garmin Connect for a few years now and have never had this problem before... I haven't used it for a couple of months and when I logged on today I was prompted to run an update, which I've done. But when I'm uploading new activities and then go into either 'quick edit' or 'full edit' to update it with the title and exercise type, only the title is saving, the activity is just staying as 'running', even though in the past I've always been able to edit this. Any ideas??
There are multiple threads on this subject as it's been a problem since November 15th.
For the moment, there are 2 workarounds.
Modify the activity IMMEDIATELY. Waiting a minute is probably too long.
Modify the activity but if the report doesn't update properly, export it to a file, delete the original, and import the modified file.
BTW, it takes a bit of time these days for the report to refresh itself so after a change, you should wait a maybe 5 minutes before expecting to see the modified results.
I posted a few hours ago; 11;30, it seems I have this problem. like the OP I had not used Connect for a while and followed the instructions to update.
I have tried the work around as indicated but no success, Is it possible to revert to the pre update situation?
Since this is done on Connect on the web, unless you know how to hack into the Connect web site, there is no way to revert.
However, although the first workaround really depends on timing, the second workaround should always work. However, as I said, there can be a time lag before the results of the change actually appear on the web. The change should be visible in Mobile right away.
They are aware but it's been 6 weeks and it isn't fixed yet. The more the merrier so definitely contact them. They'll probably respond that they already know but it can't hurt.
