Time in Heart/Power Zones now on GC

Just noticed these were now available to view for each activity. My Strava Premium membership just ended but now don't see any reason to resubscribe. I like Strava Segments but not worth subscribing just for that feature alone.

Anyone else notice any new features on GC?
  • Don't see it on my edge 500 or forerunner 210 events. Where abouts are you guys finding this info?
  • It shows up for workouts using my 920, but not those from my Edge 1000.

At the bottom next to "Stats" and "Laps" tabs you should see a third "Time in Zones" tab.

Looks like it only displays when recorded on a device that has the summary feature built into it the device. One would think they're website/software should be able to plot the same graphs with the fit file just as Strava has been doing so for years now.

This. Apparently the Edge 500 + Forerunner 210 aren't sophisticated enough to allow that data to be graphed on a website.

But no, because Garmin. I am sooooo never buying another Garmin device.

Time in Zone Data Not Correct

Just got a FR 230 and I am very interested in the data for the time in each heart rate zone. Unfortunately the distribution graph displayed on the Garmin Connect web site is not accurate. My guess is that it is not parsing the data per the custom zones that I have set up in the device even thought they shows up correctly on the web site under Device Settings. For example, the graph that accompanies the run I did this AM shows that I spent 78% of the run in Zone 3. Per my custom zones I would guess I spent about that amount of time in Zone 2, the average HR for the whole run was in Zone 2, but it would be really nice to know for sure.

Garmin - can you please fix this feature???
  • Time in Zones One Zone too Low

I've found the on the Fenix 3 and on Garmin Connect 'Time in Zones' reports everything as being one zone less than it's definition (so I have set up the same zones in both Garmin and Strava'. Strava shows it correctly according to the underlying data, and Garmin has exactly the same pattern but in one zone lower than Strava (and one zone lower than the data is appropriate for).

  • I'm now seeing Time in Heart Rate Zones on GCM. Both in the summary details as well as in graph form. No info on Time in Power Zones.
