Hi all - I have recently been playing around with both Base Camp and Garmin Connect. So far I am unimpressed with Base Camp, so I am wondering if I can do some of the thing I'd normally do in Base Camp in Connect.
The simplest of these tasks is simply creating a waypoint (I see how to create a route). I'd like to be able to view the detailed terrain map in Connect, click on a particular location, and create a waypoint there. I can do this in Base Camp but the problem is there is zero detail on the map. It's just one big outline of the state with rough facsimiles of the major interstates drawn in. And when I try to purchase maps for it, as it suggests, I get a "no maps available for purchase" message. No matter the criteria I select before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
