Time in heart rate zones

hiya

i've just got a fenix 3 and now my activities show a time in zone field which i really like (i nearly jumped ship to polar for this feature as it's what i base all my training on). This metric wasn't visible while using my previous FR220.

However.. the point of heart rate zone training to me is that it's a cumulative thing. I've looked and I can't find anything on connect that shows a similar time in zones but as an overview. I think it would be absolutely brilliant if you could select a date range and see the amount of time you were in each heart rate zone during activities. It seems strange that with the focus garmin is putting on heart rate zones with the colour gauges on all their new devices etc that the only reference to the zones on connect is per workout.

Am i missing something? Does anyone know if there are plans afoot to put this overview into connect reports somewhere?

Yes, the feature is available since a long time. Have a look at the Time in Zones tab under the graphs of the Activity page.

I understand the question differently. It's not about the distribution among zones in single activities but aggregates (total training time in zones). And I didn't find anything about this so far. Thx though!

OK.I see. Aggregates over multiple activities or over a certain time period are indeed not available. You can try requesting it at Garmin (for example at https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/). Perhaps there isn't any sufficient demand for such feature, so the feedback can help. Here, on the user forum, it is not very likely to be noticed by Garmin.
