Incorrect Reporting

In the Reports, GC is categorising Swim workouts as Other (even if the workouts are correctly tagged as Swims under Activities) and hence the reports are not showing up correctly. Anyone else has this problem?

  • Many people have this problem since November 15th an it's not only swimming. Take a tour through the Connect forum and you'll see lots of threads on this.

    Re Swim reporting............yes exactly same same problem here. Have tried every which way to correct but no joy ! On the graph report summary all swims just show as a purple bar called "other" !!!
    Any updates on how to fix ?

  • iPhone 6S (and 6) report them as swims in Garmin Connect Mobile and also on the Garmin Connect website. What we do see (not surprisingly) is Untitled for pool swims (no GPS info) and a location for open water swims.

    My device is a Garmin 310xt and phone device used is Android for Connect, but while reporting this issue I am facing the problem on a chrome web browser. Not clear how the phone device would matter in this case as I would have thought that this would be platform independent. But pool swims had always been "untitled" but they still used to show up clearly as Swimming in the reports earlier. The Reports do not seem to pick the category of the activity correctly or is grouping all non-running activities under Other.

    Reports are different

    All of my cycling information is coming up as runs, so yesterday I "ran" 80km - WTF
    Anyone know how to fix???
  • This has been going on since November 15th after the maintenance shutdown.

    The 2 workarounds so far are:

    1. Change the activity type IMMEDIATELY after it is synced. Waiting even a minute can be too late.
    2. If #1 doesn't work, change the activity type; export it; delete the original in Connect; import the changed file.

    What I've noticed is that there is often a time lag before the report finally appears properly.
